The Pitkin County Sheriff’s Office have cleared all Aspen schools of any threats after an “unknown incident” was reported near a school.

Schools went on lockdown just after 9 a.m. after the report of the threat, and the sheriff’s office gave the all-clear at 10:20 a.m.

All Aspen School District schools are CLEARED of the threat. PARENTS: please monitor your communications from the district for directions on where to go for reunification. Please have identification with you. Please stay out of the area to avoid more traffic if not picking up.
