A pedestrian was killed in a vehicle collision that forced the closure of eastbound Hampden Avenue for two hours Wednesday morning, according to the Englewood Police Department.
West Hampden reopened shortly after 9:30 a.m., following the closure at 7:30 a.m. starting with the intersection with South Santa Fe Drive, Englewood police announced in a posting on Twitter.
Update: 0721 a.m.: This is being investigated as a fatal auto-pedestrian accident involving one vehicle. The vehicle remained on scene. Eastbound W. Hampden Avenue will remain closed for several hours. Alternate route advised.
