Police are investigating a murder-suicide that left two people dead in Denver’s Capitol Hill neighborhood over the weekend.
Officers around 11 a.m. on Saturday received a call for two unresponsive individuals in a parked car near the 1000 block of North Washington Street, police said Monday in a news release.
Responding officers found an adult man and woman dead from apparent gunshot wounds, police said. The incident appears to be domestic-violence related, authorities said.
“Evidence obtained by investigators indicates that the deceased male shot and killed the female victim and then shot and killed himself,” the news release stated.
The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner identified the woman as Macy Machetta, 20, and the man as Slaton Fenci, 22, in a news release. Machetta’s manner of death is homicide and Fenci’s is suicide, according to the release.
