JeffCo road where cyclist was killed 15 years ago finally being widened

Cycling groups have long advocated safety improvements for West 32nd Avenue between Wheat Ridge and Golden

A ghost bike marks the spot where cyclist Shahram Moghadamnia was struck and killed in 2008 on a narrow stretch of West 32nd Avenue near Golden. That two-lane road is heavily used by Denver cyclists heading to Lookout Mountain and other points west, and cycling groups have long advocated for the road to be widened where Moghadamnia was killed. Jefferson County is now widening and improving the road. (John Meyer, The Denver Post)
