Longmont 9-year-old Jaxson Finken fell short of securing enough votes to enter the top 25 of the Kids Contest.
The Hygiene Elementary School student was one of 100 kids vying for enough votes to advance to the third round. , Finken made it to the second round after going up against more than 900 participants ages 9 through 12, sporting a hairstyle he calls “Mullet Royale.”
Finken was the only competitor from Colorado in the Kids Contest top 100, according to his mom, Priscilla Hale.
