Police have determined a suspicious item found in downtown Denver near Civic Center Park was not dangerous.
People were asked to avoid the area near 15th Street and Court Place while officers investigated, the Denver Police Department said in a 3:40 p.m. Wednesday message on X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter.

UPDATE: All clear, . The Bomb Squad responded to the area and checked out a suspicious item and it was determined not to be dangerous. Thank you for your patience. Officers are clearing the scene now.
