An inmate at the La Plata County jail was found unresponsive in his cell and has been pronounced dead.
Jail workers found Daniel John Foard, 32, in his cell about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, the sheriff’s office said.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation is assisting the sheriff’s office in the death investigation.
