2. Pine Creek 5-0 2 W (35-0 at Mullen)
Comment: After posting back-to-back shutouts, Eagles get tough test with unbeaten FFC set to visit. This week: vs. Fountain-Fort Carson, 6 p.m. Thursday.
3. Columbine 5-0 3 W (57-13 vs. Fort Collins)

6. Grandview 4-1 7 W (35-14 at Pomona)
Comment: Wolves can’t stumble out of the gates like they did last week at Pomona. Eaglecrest is unbeaten and on the rise. This week: vs. Eaglecrest, 7 p.m. Friday.
7. Castle View 5-0 9 W (23-7 vs. Cherokee Trail)
Comment: With just 31 points allowed through five games, Castle View has the look of a contender. This week: vs. Valor Christian, 6 p.m. Thursday.
8. Chatfield 4-1 10 W (45-21 at 4A No. 8 Dakota Ridge)

9. Mountain Vista 4-1 8 Idle
Comment: Then there’s Austyn Modrzewski, who’s thrown for 300-plus yards in two straight and is seemingly on his way to another 3,000-yard season. This week: at ThunderRidge, 7 p.m. Friday.
10. Regis Jesuit 2-3 6 L (47-28 vs. No. 1 Cherry Creek)
Comment: Are there 10 other teams in the state that would be 2-3 after the Raiders’ brutal schedule? Probably not. This week: at Douglas County, 6 p.m. Friday.

Class 4A

Team Record Pvs LW

2. Erie 4-1 2 W (40-8 at Windsor)

3. Pueblo West 4-1 3 W (14-0 vs. Far Northeast)

8. Dakota Ridge 3-2 5 L (54-21 vs. 5A No. 8 Chatfield)
Comment: After losing to Littleton rival, Dakota Ridge gets one last chance at statement win before league play starts. This week: at No. 5 Broomfield, noon Saturday.
9. Golden 4-1 9 W (27-12 vs. Palisade)
Comment: The further we get from Demons’ Week 1 loss to Green Mountain, the more it looks like an aberration. This week: at Bear Creek, 7 p.m. Thursday.

Comment: Nighthawks fell a TD shy of Dolphins-Broncos territory last Friday. This week: at Vista Ridge, 7 p.m. Friday.
8. Lewis-Palmer 4-1 10 W (27-7 vs. Falcon)
