Aurora officers are investigating a fatal shooting that happened early Sunday morning, leaving one man dead.
Just before 5 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to reports of a shooting at an apartment complex in the Lyn Knoll neighborhood, according to a from the Aurora Police Department.
Officers are investigating a fatal shooting that happened early this morning in the 500 block of Potomac Street.
When officers arrived, they found a deceased adult male in the drivers seat of a car with gunshot wounds.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 23-year-old man dead in the driver’s seat of a blue 2006 Volkswagen Jetta, the news release stated.
According to the release, the unidentified victim had multiple gunshot wounds and police found numerous bullet holes in the driver’s side window. The victim’s identity will be released by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
Aurora officers do not have suspect information or a motive at this time, and the investigation is ongoing as officers speak to witnesses and search the area for evidence, the post stated.
