A 43-year-old man was arrested Saturday in connection with a homicide in Broomfield’s Anthem neighborhood, the department stated in a release Monday morning.
Daniel Krug was arrested Saturday night on suspicion of first-degree murder,
Krug is being held in the Broomfield County Jail on a $5 million cash bail, according to court records.
Police spokesperson Rachel Haslett declined to answer questions about a connection between Krug and the victim and whether he lived at the residence because the woman’s identity had not been made public.
The Adams and Broomfield County Coroner on Tuesday identified the woman as Kristil Krug, 43.
Broomfield police were called in for a welfare check at a home in the 3100 block of Promontory Loop just before 1 p.m. Thursday and they found a 43-year-old woman’s body with “apparent injuries.”
The woman will be identified by the Adams and Broomfield county coroner.
