Getting your player ready...

A year ago, the Deion Sanders-led Colorado Buffaloes held their spring football game in front of a sold out crowd.

There is likely to be a large crowd for the second spring game of the Coach Prime era, as well.

On Thursday, Sanders and CU athletic director Rick George announced that the 2024 spring game, as part of Black & Gold Day, will be held April 27 at Folsom Field. The time and TV information will be announced at a later date. Tickets will go on sale soon.

In 2023, CU sold tickets to the spring game for the first time since the 1980s and the game sold out for the first time ever. Despite snowy weather, 47,277 fans attended the spring game to get their first glimpse of Sanders’ team.

Coming off a 4-8 record (1-8 Pac-12) in his first season with the Buffaloes, Sanders’ rebuilt squad will kick off spring practices on March 18. The Buffs will practice that week before taking a week off for spring break (March 25-31) and practicing throughout April leading up to the spring game.

Black & Gold Day will also include a field day presented by Children’s Hospital of Colorado. That will include inflatables and other games for kids, as well as activities with student-athletes from CU’s other sports teams.
