Denver Public Library cardholders just got another freebie.

Through March 1, library members can enter to win a free day on the slopes at Arapahoe Basin, including lift tickets, ski rentals, transportation from Denver and lunch for up to four people, .

“The freedom to explore and connect is a huge piece of (our) mission,” Denver Public Library’s Manager of Strategic Partnerships Beth Warren said Thursday afternoon. “One of the things we want to do is provide experiences and services for free, using only your library card.”

The partnership began in spring 2023 when the library included the resort’s Aerial Adventure Park in its list of museum and cultural passes, Warren noted. After seeing a strong number of bookings, the two sides reconnected in the fall to explore an opportunity in the winter.

“It’s part of our commitment to providing opportunities for access to customers,” Warren said. “(This) felt like such a great opportunity to connect people with the outdoors.”

The lottery has occurred in three rounds, with the first two drawings having taken place on Jan. 12 and Feb. 1, according to the library website. The third and final round is open until March 1, with the slopeside date set for March 17. The raffle form can be found on the library website at .
