Denver Coliseum open as 24/7 cold weather shelter for the next week

Nighttime temperatures forecast to drop below freezing

The Denver Coliseum will be open as a 24/7 cold weather shelter through the morning of Feb. 19 as nighttime temperatures are over the next week.

Anyone needing shelter can walk up to the Denver Coliseum at 4600 N Humboldt St. until 9 a.m. on Feb. 19, according to city officials. The shelter opened at 3 p.m. Friday.

Other Denver shelters are also expanding to and families needing shelter can call the Connection Center at 303-295-3366.

Denver recreation centers will be open as daytime warming shelters during regular business hours on Saturday.

Denver is forecast to get up to 4 inches of snow through Saturday night, according to the National Weather Service.
