Man dies following drive-by shooting outside Denver’s Downtown Aquarium

Police believe the shooting was not random

A man injured in a drive-by shooting outside the Downtown Aquarium at 700 Water St. on Wednesday afternoon has died, according to the Denver Police Department.

The department and said the person who was shot was in critical condition.

The man was later pronounced dead at a local hospital, the department posted Wednesday night.

The Denver Police Department on Tuesday, Feb. 20, identified the man as Dacien Salazar, 19.

Investigators are still gathering information about suspects and the vehicle involved in the shooting, said spokesperson Kurt Barnes.

Police believe the shooting was not random, Barnes said.
