Interstate 70 was closed in both directions Monday between Parachute and Rifle for a brush fire, according to the .

Fire crews responded to a at approximately 3:43 p.m. Monday, the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office said in a post on Facebook.

Transportation officials closed I-70 between exit 75 for Parachute and exit 90 for Colorado 13 and Rifle because of the fire, according to CDOT. The at 10:12 p.m.

The westbound closure extended to exit 94 for Garfield County Regional Airport because of a crash between it and exit 90, .

CDOT officials lifted the crash-caused closure .
