9:10 p.m. The Stone Canyon fire grew to 1,320 acres with no containment as of 9 p.m., Boulder County officials said in an update. More than 100 firefighters are attacking the fire from the ground and will remain in place overnight.
7:20 p.m. Fire officials estimate the Stone Canyon fire is burning across 450 acres as of 6:15 p.m., according to the Boulder Office of Disaster Management.
Westbound lanes of U.S. 36 and U.S. 66/Ute Highway are closed in Lyons for firefighting operations.
An overnight shelter is available at the Foundation Church, 1380 N. Denver St. in Loveland. Small animals such as cats and dogs are allowed to stay with their owners at the shelter, county officials said.

5:20 p.m.: Boulder County officials announced evacuations within Lyons for the Stone Canyon fire due to changing wind conditions. The area north of Broadway and east of Fifth Avenue is under evacuation orders.
Officials also announced a livestock evacuation space at the Boulder County Fairgrounds is at capacity. New large animal evacuations may go to the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Golden. The Gilpin County Fairgrounds in Black Hawk, which was previously announced as available, is closed.
4:50 p.m.: The Stone Canyon fire is burning on at least 100 acres and may have destroyed two structures, Boulder County officials said in an update Tuesday afternoon.
The fire was reported at 1:30 p.m. and has continued to grow to the north and east, Boulder County Sheriff Curtis Johnson said.
Fire officials have received unconfirmed reports that two structures were burned in the fire, but could not provide the location of those structures.
Hot, dry and windy weather is creating challenging conditions for the 70 firefighters and multiple aircraft on the fire, Johnson said.
“The conditions are about as bad as they can be to fight this fire,” he said.
The Stone Canyon fire is burning approximately 8 miles south of the Alexander Mountain fire in Larimer County, and county officials are communicating about firefighting efforts, Johnson said.
4:30 p.m.: Boulder and Larimer county officials announced more mandatory evacuations as the Stone Canyon fire burning north of Lyons grew to 85 acres Tuesday afternoon.
The , including the area east of Pinewood Springs, Round Mountain, Spruce Gulch and Blue Mountain, according to an evacuation map.
There are multiple air tankers and 10 trucks and wild land vehicles currently fighting the fire.

At least one home appeared to be destroyed in a wildfire that sparked north of Lyons near Stone Canyon on Tuesday afternoon.

The evacuation area includes Eagle Ridge Road, Stone Canyon Drive, Lewis Lane, Dakota Ridge Road, Mossrock Drive, Chimney Hollow Road, Thunder Road and Steamboat Valley Road.
County officials opened an in the exhibit building. Animals can also be brought to the fairgrounds at 9595 Nelson Road in Longmont.
