“Save the parade!” Future of Denver’s Broadway Halloween Parade is in jeopardy

Mandated barricades for Oct. 19 event will cost $25,000, more than double last year’s parade budget

The parade has grown so much that, this year, the city mandated pedestrian barricades be installed along the route to keep bystanders safe from dashing out in front of an unsuspecting hearse, ghoul or goblin.
