A teenager was killed and a man was injured in a Saturday night shooting at an Adams County park, according to sheriff’s officials.

Adams County deputies responded to reports of shots fired at Rotella Park — near Welby at 1824 Coronado Parkway — around 11:18 p.m. Saturday, according to a .

When deputies arrived at the park, they found a boy who had died from his injuries and a man with a gunshot wound to the leg, sheriff’s officials said.

The boy was later identified as 15-year-old Ricardo Alonzo Elgueta Fuentes by the Adams County Coroner’s Office. Coroner officials said the cause and manner of death are still pending investigation.

Sheriff’s officials did not specify what the relationship between the two shooting victims was.

The shooting is under investigation as deputies and detectives talk to witnesses and family members. Sheriff’s officials said anyone with information about the shooting should call Adams County investigators at 303-288-1535.
