Regional Transportation District preparing for surge in ridership ahead of Sunday game

Broncos fans planning a pilgrimage to Empower Field at Mile High can take a bus or train this weekend to watch their team’s home game against the Carolina Panthers.

The Regional Transportation District announced Thursday that it is preparing for a surge in ridership ahead of Sunday’s game, encouraging fans to type “Broncos” in the destination field of to find transit routes to the stadium.

Light rail lines running before and after the game include the E and W lines serving Empower Field at Mile High Station as well as the A, B, G and N lines serving Denver Union Station.

Buses stopping close to the stadium include routes 30 and 31, while routes 1, 15L, 16 and 31 all stop at Decatur-Federal Station, located about one-half mile from the action.

Fans looking to grab the E or W train can also reach Denver Union Station using the Flatiron Flyer or local bus routes, including 0, 9, 10, 15, 20 and 32.
