A Big O Tires employee was arrested after allegedly shooting and seriously wounding another employee on Thursday afternoon, according to police.

Store employees called 911 at 2:51 p.m. after two employees got into a fight that turned physical, leading one man to pull out a gun and allegedly shoot the other man in the torso, police said. They were in the service bay when the shooting occurred.

The store is at 7425 W. 52nd Ave.

The suspect fled on foot and was arrested near his home at Kipling Street and West 72nd Avenue — about 4 miles north near the Club Crest neighborhood — at 5 p.m., police officials said.

The victim ran to a nearby dialysis center for help before paramedics arrived to treat him and take him to a hospital. An update on his condition was not immediately available.

This is a developing story and may be updated.
