Two men and a woman were arrested this week following a break-in at an Aurora apartment that resulted in the shooting and death of a 16-year-old girl.

Audrina Fedelina Arrington, a student at Denver North High School, died Tuesday after two men broke into her family’s apartment in the 10600 block of East Jewell Avenue, according to Aurora police.

Arrington was found suffering from a gunshot wound, but her cause and manner of death were still being investigated Thursday by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.

April Collingwood, 44, was arrested Wednesday by Denver police on suspicion of complicity to commit second-degree murder, first-degree burglary and attempted aggravated robbery.

Aurora police arrested Cooper Miller, 35, on Thursday and David Gunion, 51, on Friday. Both are suspected of second-degree murder, first-degree burglary and attempted aggravated robbery.

Police said in a news release that Collingwood recruited Miller and Gunion to carry out the crime, and Arrington was shot during a struggle after the two armed men entered the apartment, which was occupied by multiple people.

Aurora police encourage anyone with information about the incident to contact investigators at 720-913-7867.
