Westbound Peña Boulevard has reopened after it was closed at its intersection with Green Valley Ranch Boulevard for a shooting investigation.
The occupants of two vehicles were seen firing at each other near 11th and Jamaica in Aurora earlier Wednesday according to a . Aurora officers pursued one vehicle, with the chase ending in a two-vehicle crash on Peña.
According to the post, two suspects are in custody while the driver of the second vehicle, who was not involved in the pursuit, is being evaluated at a hospital.
The driver of the suspect vehicle had active weapons-related felony warrants for his arrest and will face felony charges for this incident according to Aurora police. The passenger in the suspect vehicle was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.
According to the Aurora Police Department, Peña Boulevard has been reopened.
