Deputies responded to the 7600 block of Navajo Street at around 1:05 p.m. for a carjacking and got a call about shots fired in the 7400 block of Broadway moments later, said Adams County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Deputies later found that a truck matching the stolen vehicle’s description crashed into a parked car and two juveniles had run from the scene. Several of the people in the house were arrested on unrelated warrants, Sherman said.
No students were inside the arts center when a bullet passed through the building, said district spokesperson Sean Andersen-Vie. The center shares a campus with four schools and the district’s administration building.
No injuries were reported from the carjacking or school.
