The Regional Transportation District’s E and R Lines are back on schedule after in the area caused delays.
Lightning did not strike anything, according to an RTD representative.
However, maintenance is being done at County Line Station, where maintenance staff had to stop working temporarily because of the severe weather.
Trains were still running during the delay, but they needed to manually short-turn the trains at Southmoor and Lincoln stations, which caused the delays.
If lightning causes another delay, the E Line will short turn at Southmoor Station and the R Line will short turn at Nine Mile Station, where customers can transfer onto the H line to get into town, RTD spokesperson M. Marta Sipeki stated in an email.
The E Line runs between Union Station and RidgeGate Parkway Station, while the R Line operates between Lincoln Station and Peoria Station, according to RTD’s website.
