1 killed in Denver shooting near Coors Field

The fatal shooting happened in the 2200 block of Blake Street, near 22nd Street, police said

One person was killed overnight in a Denver shooting near Coors Field, police said.

The just before midnight on Saturday, according to the Denver Police Department. That’s just outside of Coors Field, near the intersection of Blake and 22nd streets.

Paramedics took Claivon Duncan, the 23-year-old man who was shot, to the hospital, according to the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner. He died from his injuries at 12:18 a.m. Sunday, coroner officials said, ruling his death a homicide.

Information about the circumstances leading up to the shooting and if any suspects have been identified was not available Sunday morning.
