Hundreds of flights at Denver International Airport were delayed Friday after a ground stop for thunderstorms in metro Denver, according to the

All DIA flights were grounded for just under two hours before FAA officials lifted the order at 6 p.m.

There were 529 delayed flights at the Denver airport as of 6:30 p.m., according to the flight tracking website Airlines also canceled 11 flights Friday.

Southwest had 162 delayed flights, followed by United with 146 and SkyWest with 98.
