A body was found in a Thursday morning, near the area where possible human remains were found last week, police officials said.

Westminster police first responded to the open space near 122nd Avenue and Park Centre Drive on Friday after a person walking on a trail found a bone that appeared to be human.

Detectives searched the area with a cadaver dog on Friday and came back Thursday morning, when they found a body and personal belongings that seemed to have been there “for an extended period of time,” Westminster police said on social media.

The death does not appear to be suspicious but police are still investigating, agency officials said.

The person’s identity will be released by the Adams County Coroners Office.
