Thornton police are in identifying a black SUV that may have contributed to a fatal motorcycle accident on Saturday night.

A 37-year-old man was riding westbound along East 104th Avenue and the Fox Run Parkway, near Colorado Boulevard, when he lost control and crashed at around 10:45 p.m. The rider was not wearing a helmet and speed may have been a factor in the crash, police said. He later died of his injuries at a hospital.

His identity is being withheld until the Adams County Coroner’s Office can provide an identification and notify next of kin.

A witness reported that a black SUV cut in front of the motorcycle and may have contributed to the accident. Thornton Police are seeking additional information on that vehicle and are asking any witnesses or anyone with information to call the Thornton Police tip line at 720-977-5069.
