A woman was found dead with a gunshot wound in a Brighton neighborhood on Friday morning, police officials said.
Brighton Police Department officers were responding to an abandoned vehicle in the 200 block of North Sixth Avenue at 9:15 a.m. when they found the woman, who is around 30 years old, the agency said in a
Investigators identified a person of interest in the case who is in custody on unrelated charges, the department said. The woman’s name will be released by the Adams County Coroner’s Office.
