Two motorists were involved in a serious crash near the intersection of Jewell Avenue and Federal Boulevard at approximately 10:55 p.m. Thursday.
One person was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The at-fault driver was cited for careless driving resulting in injury, a Denver Police Department spokesperson told The Denver Post via email.
Police first shared news of the incident on at about 11:19 p.m. Thursday.
“Not all traffic crashes meet the Departmentap criteria for posting. We will only issue a Crash Alert if at least one involved person sustains serious injuries or the crash results in road closures,” the post said.
