Comment: If it wasn’t clear already, win at Valor proves Golden Eagles football is now true 5A power. This week: at ThunderRidge, 7 p.m. Friday.
4. Arvada West 6-0 3 W (45-7 at Denver South)
Comment: A-West better be careful with Columbine. Rebels have won three straight and just routed Denver East, 48-9. This week: vs. Columbine, 7 p.m. Thursday.
5. Legend 5-1 6 W (57-30 vs. No. 9 Pine Creek)
Comment: Titans’ last major road block to second straight 5A Southern League title is Week 10 showdown with Regis Jesuit. This week: at Chaparral, 7 p.m. Friday.
6. Valor Christian 4-2 4 L (38-36 vs. No. 3 Mountain Vista)
Comment: Eagles had chances vs. Mountain Vista. This team will be heard from in November. This week: at Castle View, 6:30 p.m. Friday.
7. Fairview 5-1 7 W (56-0 at Prairie View)
Comment: Knights’ biggest remaining regular-season test arrives this weekend with visit to 5-1 Lambkins. This week: at Fort Collins, 6:30 p.m. Friday.
8. Erie 4-2 10 W (35-23 at Rangeview)
Comment: Tigers took care of business without Oregon State commit Braylon Toliver last Friday. This week: vs. Vista PEAK Prep, 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
9. Pine Creek 3-3 8 L (57-30 at No. 5 Legend)
Comment: Eagles have played three teams in Post Preps top 10 — and lost by double digits to all three. This week: vs. Douglas County, 7 p.m. Thursday.
10. Regis Jesuit 3-3 NR W (41-9 at Chaparral)
Comment: Sophomore QB Luke Rubley’s last three games: 543 yards, six TDs, zero INTs on 74.6% passing. This week: at Fountain-Fort Carson, 7 p.m. Thursday.

Comment: Red Hawks defense has allowed 14 points total over last three weeks. This week: at Doherty, 1 p.m. Saturday.
3. Palmer Ridge 6-0 3 W (42-0 at Air Academy)
Comment: Bears have yet to enter fourth quarter of game with less than 21-point lead this season. This week: vs. No. 5 Durango, 6 p.m. Friday.
4. Broomfield 5-1 4 W (50-7 vs. Longmont)
Comment: Freshman RB Kashus Clarvoe has 889 rushing yards through six games. He’s still got three more years, folks. This week: vs. Adams City, 7 p.m. Friday.
5. Durango 5-1 5 W (47-7 vs. Rampart)
Comment: Demons defense has been downright dominant. Now they get massive test with trip to Palmer Ridge. This week: at No. 3 Palmer Ridge, 6 p.m. Friday.
6. Pueblo West 5-1 6 W (49-6 vs. Doherty)
Comment: Cyclones have work to do to get there, but Week 10 showdown with Montrose could be massive. This week: at Mesa Ridge, 7 p.m. Thursday.
7. Vista Ridge 5-1 8 W (42-7 vs. Liberty)
Comment: Wolves righted ship after first loss. One more hurdle remains before date with Palmer Ridge. This week: at Rampart, 6 p.m. Saturday.
8. Heritage 4-2 NR W (56-28 at Golden)
Comment: Eagles offense is absolute wagon. If they light up scoreboard vs. Dakota Ridge, rest of 4A is in trouble. This week: vs. No. 1 Dakota Ridge, 7 p.m. Friday.
9. Riverdale Ridge 6-0 9 W (55-7 vs. Skyline)
Comment: Say what you will about Ravens’ schedule, but 31 points allowed over six games is impressive. This week: at Longmont, 7 p.m. Friday.
10. Monarch 4-2 10 Did not play
Comment: Coyotes haven’t had consecutive winning seasons since 2016-17. Two more wins get them there. This week: at Loveland, 7 p.m. Friday.

Class 3A

Comment: Working theory on Tigers’ upset loss at Pueblo East. They were focused on taking down Mead a week later. This week: vs. Littleton, 5 p.m. Thursday.
4. Roosevelt 3-2 4 Did not play
Comment: Rough Riders’ quest for league title stops and starts at Jeffco on Friday night. This week: at No. 2 Pomona, 7:30 p.m. Friday.
5. Mead 4-1 2 L (27-21 vs. No. 3 Holy Family)
Comment: Mavericks can’t let Holy Family beat them twice. Timnath is no pushover. Just ask Thompson Valley. This week: vs. Timnath, 7 p.m. Thursday.
6. Lutheran 3-2 5 W (41-14 vs. Green Mountain)
Comment: Lions should be battle-tested for stretch run after tough nonleague gauntlet. This week: at Standley Lake, 4 p.m. Friday.
7. Thompson Valley 4-1 7 Did not play
Comment: Eagles close out regular season with road trips to Roosevelt and Pomona. Get those wins now. This week: vs. Severance, 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
8. Eagle Valley 7-0 10 W (35-14 at Steamboat Springs)
Comment: There are now two unbeatens in all of 3A, and Devils are one of them. This week: vs. Glenwood Springs, 7 p.m. Friday.
9. Discovery Canyon 4-1 8 Did not play
Comment: Thunder one of two teams with winning record in 3A Pikes Peak League. DC plays other (Pueblo South) in Week 11. This week: vs. Pueblo Centennial 7 p.m. Friday.
10. Pueblo East 2-3 9 Did not play
Comment: Eagles shocked rest of 3A with upset of Holy Family two weeks ago. Time to build on it. This week: at Sierra, 6 p.m. Friday.
