Rockies catcher Hunter Goodman, who slugged 31 home runs, was named a finalist for the National League Silver Slugger Award on Wednesday.

The other NL finalists are Milwaukee’s William Contreras and the Dodgers’ Will Smith.

Goodman’s 31 homers in 2025 were the most by a Rockies catcher in franchise history. Goodman, 26, slashed .278/.520/.843 and drove in 91 runs. If Goodman wins, he would become the Rockies’ first catcher to win a Silver Slugger Award. The Rockies have not had a Silver Slugger winner since shortstop Trevor Story in 2019.

Position finalists and winners are determined by a vote of National League managers and coaches who cast ballots for players at each position in their league.

Louisville Slugger will announce the American League finalists on Thursday. NL Silver Slugger Award winners will be announced Nov. 6, and Louisville Slugger will announce AL winners Nov. 7.
