Class 5A

1. Cherry Creek (9-0) won at Smoky Hill, 42-0: Walker Rudden set the tone early with a punt return touchdown for Creek’s first points, and the Bruins posted their third straight shutout to clinch a 5A Centennial League crown. The Bruins will head into the final week of the regular season looking to clinch a third straight undefeated season in league play and 23rd straight win. Next week: at Grandview, 7 p.m. Oct. 31.

2. Ralston Valley (9-0) won at Denver East, 48-7: Junior QB Logan Gabler tossed five touchdown passes, including three to senior receiver Nico Benallo, while compiling 238 yards on 20-of-26 passing in place of injured starter Zeke Andrews. Benallo hauled in 10 balls for 134 yards, while Gabler ripped off 88 yards on nine carries to move the Mustangs a win away from a second straight league championship. Next week: vs. No. 4 Arvada West, 7:30 p.m. Oct. 31.

3. Mountain Vista (9-0) won at Rock Canyon, 54-7: The Golden Eagles claimed their 19th straight regular-season win and second consecutive 5A South Metro League crown with yet another offensive onslaught. Garrett Looney’s rising program has now won at least nine games in three straight seasons. Next week: vs. Castle View, 7 p.m. Oct. 30.

: Jaiden Nichols broke up a two-point conversion attempt with less than a minute left, and the Wildcats survived an upset scare a week before their Halloween showdown at Ralston Valley. Senior QB Logan Duhachek’s 1-yard plunge in the fourth quarter proved to be the difference amid Chatfield’s frantic second-half rally. A-West took a 21-0 lead into halftime, but Chatfield’s Brigham Jones returned an INT for a score, Cash Williams found Roni Rohlman for a pair of TDs, and Devon Fleming ran in a TD to pull the Chargers within a point. Chatfield went for two after that, but to preserve the win. Next week: at No. 2 Ralston Valley, 7:30 p.m. Oct. 31.

5. Legend (8-1) won at Douglas County, 51-9: Ryken Banks found the end zone four times in the first half, Quinn Williams and Freddie Burke both returned interceptions for TDs, and the Titans scored 44 points in the first quarter to trigger a running clock en route to their fifth straight win. Next week: vs. Regis Jesuit, 7 p.m. Oct. 31.

6. Valor Christian (7-2) won at Fruita Monument, 49-6: QB Titus Huard continued a torrid stretch of play with 109 yards and four touchdowns on 10-of-14 passing in the Eagles’ third straight blowout win. The sophomore has seven TD passes on 78.9% passing over that span, with just one interception. Senior Cash Spence grabbed two of Huard’s scoring throws on Thursday, Chase Hanosh carried the ball 12 times for 112 yards and a score, and sophomore Roger Garey added a pick-6. Next week: vs. Rock Canyon, 7 p.m. Oct. 30.

7. Fairview (8-1) won at Fossil Ridge, 45-20: Senior Toray Davis scored five touchdowns and ran in a two-point conversion as the Knights raced out to a 45-0 halftime lead and cruised from there. Fairview is a win away from its fourth straight unbeaten run through league play. Next week: vs. Rocky Mountain, 7 p.m. Oct. 31.

8. Pine Creek (6-3) won at Regis Jesuit, 31-24: to hand the Eagles their third straight win. The score finished off a wild back-and-forth affair that saw Regis take a 24-17 lead with 5:20 left in the third quarter on Luke Rubley’s 20-yard hookup with Colt Jones in the end zone. The Raiders didn’t score again, however, and the Pine Creek ground game went to work as the Eagles beat Regis for the third year in a row. Next week: vs. No. 9 Fountain-Fort Carson, 7 p.m. Oct. 31.

9. Fountain-Fort Carson (7-2) won vs. Chaparral, 49-23: The Trojans pulled away from the upset-minded Wolverines, with Da’kari Releford Jr. scoring a pair of TDs in the second half to help FFC turn a 23-21 deficit early in the third quarter into a runaway victory. Vince Basham found the end zone three times for Chaparral, but the Trojans closed out the game with four unanswered TDs. Next week: at No. 8 Pine Creek, 7 p.m. Oct. 31.

10. Mullen (5-4) won at Horizon, 41-0: The Mustangs locked up their first league championship in nine years with their first shutout since 2023. Jeremy Bennett’s program is now a win away from clinching its second winning season in the last three years. Next week: vs. Rangeview, Oct. 31.

Class 4A

1. Dakota Ridge (9-0) won at Golden, 48-10: The Eagles’ rampage through the 4A South Metro League is now one game away from perfection after Dakota Ridge took down Golden for the eighth time in 10 meetings. Landon Kalsbeck ran in a pair of TDs in a 21-0 second quarter, and Kellen Behrendsen hooked up with Nathan Rodriguez for a long TD pass to take a 34-3 lead into the break that was never challenged. Next week: at Bear Creek, 4 p.m. Oct. 31.

2. Montrose (9-0) won vs. Widefield, 61-6: Senior RB Elijah Womack ran in three TDs, junior QB Cade Saunders ran in a score and threw for another, and Chase Mehan had a pair of TDs as the Red Hawks moved a win away from their second straight unbeaten regular season. Next week: at No. 10 Pueblo West, 6 p.m. Oct. 31.

3. Palmer Ridge (9-0) won vs. Rampart, 51-6: Cole Harris got things going with a passing TD to Magnus Newman and a pair of rushing scores, and Jackson Mabe ran in back-to-back TDs after that as the Bears took a 43-0 lead in the first half and never looked back. Palmer Ridge clinched a fourth straight league title with the win and is now a lock to earn a first-round bye in the 4A state playoffs. Next week: at Liberty, 6 p.m. Oct. 30.

: Kashus Clarvoe scored twice, including a 1-yard run with 8:29 to go that gave the Eagles a 13-10 lead, but it wasn’t enough to avoid the program’s first league loss in four years. Junior QB Matthew Merilatt was lost to injury early in the game, and the Eagles offense struggled in his absence. Next week: vs. Skyline, 7 p.m. Oct. 31.

5. Durango (7-2) won vs. Liberty, 63-12: The Demons closed out their regular-season home slate in blowout fashion, setting up a showdown with No. 9 Vista Ridge next Friday in Colorado Springs. Next week: at No. 9 Vista Ridge, 6 p.m. Oct. 31.

: Landon Banks found junior receiver Roman Garcia for a 2-yard touchdown pass with 8.6 seconds left to vault the Ravens to an upset of the defending 4A champions. Banks came on in place of Ricky Weeks after the sophomore QB was injured during the game-winning drive, then delivered the program’s biggest win in its eight-year history. The 4A North 2 League title-clinching victory wouldn’t have been possible without the Ravens defense, which held Broomfield to its lowest scoring total of the season. Next week: at Grand Junction Central, 7 p.m. Oct. 30.

: Junior running back Malakhi Payne (15 carries, 101 yards) topped 100 yards rushing for the sixth consecutive game, Abbott Lockwood ran in a pair of TDs, and junior QB Nico Rizzello threw two TD passes and ran for another in a league championship-clinching rout. Next week: at Silver Creek, 6:30 p.m. Oct. 31.

8. Sand Creek (9-0) won at Centaurus, 60-38: The Scorpions topped 50 points for the sixth time this fall as their dream season kept rolling along in Lafayette. The win sets up a showdown with Grand Junction next Thursday that will determine the 4A I-25 League champion. Next week: vs. Grand Junction, 7 p.m. Oct. 30.

9. Vista Ridge (7-2) won at Air Academy, 42-0: The Vista Ridge defense stifled the Kadets, junior Malachi Arnds ran in three TDs, and senior QB Colton Camba tossed a pair of touchdowns in the second half as the Wolves rebounded from a Week 8 loss to Palmer Ridge with a resounding road win. Next week: vs. No. 5 Durango, 6 p.m. Oct. 31.

10. Pueblo West (7-2) won at Falcon, 37-0: The Cyclones posted their second consecutive shutout to keep their conference title hopes alive with second-ranked Montrose visiting in their regular-season finale next Friday. Next week: vs. No. 2 Montrose, 6 p.m. Oct. 31.
