2 people, 1 dog killed in early morning house fire north of Denver

The cause of the fatal fire remained under investigation Sunday afternoon, Adams County officials said

Two people and a dog died early Sunday morning as flames consumed a house in Adams County, according to first responders.

Adams County Fire Rescue crews responded to the fire in the 800 block of Bronco Road, north of Denver and near the Denver-Boulder Turnpike, just before 1:50 a.m. Sunday, .

The back of the home was fully engulfed by the time firefighters arrived, and flames spread throughout the home, .

The two people who died will be identified by the Adams County Coroner’s Office.

Additional information about the fire — including where, when and how it started — was not available Sunday afternoon. The fire department is working with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office to determine a cause, officials said.
