More than 700 on Thursday as high winds continued to sweep across Colorado’s Front Range.
officials ordered a ground delay for DIA flights because of the wind, and departing flights are delayed by an average of 68 minutes.
The ground delay was lifted as of 4:10 p.m., according to the agency.
Airlines reported 784 delayed flights as of 4:15 p.m., according to FlightAware. United Airlines had the most delays at 267, followed by Southwest with 236 delayed flights and SkyWest with 162.
Denver, along with most of the Front Range and parts of the Eastern Plains, is under a today because of high winds and low humidity, with wind gusts up to 45 mph possible, according to the National Weather Service.
