Getting your player ready...

Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic has three MVP awards in his locker and an NBA championship ring, but the future hall-of-fame player famously didn’t get much respect on TV back in 2014 .

What was the fast food chain advertising? The Quesarito.

That item had since disappeared from the menu, but on Dec. 18, Taco Bell brought it back nationwide that begs Jokic to try one.

“To make amends for one of the most unexpected internet moments of the last decade, Taco Bell is calling on three-time MVP and Denver Nuggets center, Nikola Jokic … to finally try Taco Bell and the Quesarito for the very first time,” the company said in a statement, adding that it was offering “a friendly apology” for the TV moment.

In the past, Jokic has said that he refrained from eating at Taco Bell because of it, but a viral video of the moment comes back every year on social media and on sports newscasts. “Now, as the Quesarito returns, Taco Bell is embracing the clip that never left internet consciousness and issuing a call for Nikola Jokić to finally try the Quesarito that unintentionally stole his spotlight. This comeback’s for you, Jokić,” the company’s statement said.

Will he try it? So far, Taco Bell said Jokic has declined. But if you know Taco Bell, then you know its charms can be persuasive.

The grilled burrito-style quesadilla typically includes beef, rice, chipotle sauces, sour cream, melted cheese and” Nacho Cheese sauce.” It costs $4.99, according to the company. It will only be available for a limited time.
