Westbound lanes of Interstate 70 in the high country reopened Friday morning after a semitruck sliding across the road blocked all lanes of traffic for about an hour.
Colorado Department of Transportation officials closed the highway at 10:40 a.m. between exit 190 for Vail Pass and exit 176 for Vail because of safety concerns,
Colorado State Patrol troopers were called to a property damage crash involving one vehicle, Sgt. Ivan Alvarado said. No injuries were reported.
It was not clear if the semitruck was equipped with tire chains.
