3 crashes shut down I-70 in Colorado mountains

Westbound I-70 was also closed at Vail Pass Summit but reopened just before 1:30 p.m., CDOT officials said

Parts of Interstate 70 were closed Sunday along Vail Pass in Colorado’s mountains for three separate crashes, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

No one was injured in any of the three crashes, including a rollover crash near the summit, state patrol spokesperson Ivan Alvarado said.

Both directions of the highway had fully reopened by 2 p.m. Sunday, Alvarado said.

Earlier in the day,  was closed from exit 180 for east Vail to exit 190 at Vail Pass Summit, and was closed at Vail Pass Summit, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

Westbound I-70 opened roughly 30 minutes before the eastbound lanes, according to the agency.
