Police response to assist ‘person in crisis’ briefly closes I-25 off-ramp in Greenwood Village

The closure was causing up to 10-minute delays for northbound drivers at 10 a.m.

A ramp closure and police presence on northbound Interstate 25 in Greenwood Village caused delays for drivers Tuesday morning, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

The off-ramp that connects northbound I-25 to Belleview Avenue and DTC Parkway was closed as Greenwood Village officers and South Metro Fire Rescue crews responded to “a person in crisis,” .

The person involved was taken into protective custody at around 10:15 a.m. and the ramp reopened as of 11:15 a.m., according to police and transportation officials.
