Getting your player ready...

As the AFC’s No. 1 seed, the Denver Broncos are set to host the No. 6 seed Buffalo Bills, 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Empower Field with the winner advancing to the AFC Championship Game on Jan. 25.

Following Sunday’s 27-24 wild-card win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, starting quarterback Josh Allen and the Bills are looking to navigate the path to the Super Bowl on the road as they travel to Denver with the NFL’s top rushing offense, leading the league in yards gained and rushing first downs (146).

The Denver Broncos are hosting the franchise’s first home playoff game since the 2015 AFC Championship. Denver’s identity has been primarily focused on a dominating defense, which led the NFL with 68 sacks. While the wins haven’t always been “aesthetically pleasing” as head coach Sean Payton has said, second-year quarterback Bo Nix has given Broncos fans hope that the team has finally found a franchise quarterback. Nix has quietly been the league’s eighth-ranked passer in terms of passing yards (3,931), but the most telling metric has perhaps been his five fourth-quarter comebacks and seven game-winning drives.

Whether you’re a diehard fan that’s been waiting for the Broncos’ return to NFL relevancy, or someone who is brand new to the game and the team, here’s everything you need to know about Saturday’s game.
