Colorado has added more young talent on offense.

On Monday, Jacob Swain, a receiver prospect in the 2026 class from Melissa (Texas) High School, gave his verbal commitment to the Buffaloes and head coach Deion Sanders.

Rated as a three-star prospect by On3.com, Swain has 22 scholarship offers and was originally committed to Rice over the summer before decommitting on Aug. 31.

He also held offers from Louisville, South Florida and Virginia Tech, but chose the Buffs after visiting the Boulder campus this past weekend.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Swain earned District 4-5A DII first-team honors this past season after catching 53 passes for 1,184 yards and 17 touchdowns.

Swain is the third receiver in CU’s 2026 prep recruiting class, including Xavier McDonald and Christian Ward. The Buffs have also added four transfer this offseason, in DeAndre Moore (Texas), Kam Perry (Miami-Ohio), Danny Scudero (San Jose State) and Ernest Campbell (Sacramento State).

In addition, the Buffs are returning four receivers from last year: Joseph Williams, Hykeem Williams, Quanell Farrakhan Jr., and Quentin Gibson.
