RTD train involved in crash with vehicle that ran stop sign, agency says

Service on the Regional Transportation District’s L line in Denver was suspended Friday afternoon after a crash involving a vehicle that ran a stop sign, agency officials said.

The L-line train was southbound near 28th and Welton streets when a vehicle ran a stop sign and “made impact,” RTD officials said.

Denver police responded to the crash at 12:47 p.m., and the case is under investigation, agency officials said. No one reported any injuries.

L-line service resumed as of 4:40 p.m., according to RTD’s alert page.
