Class 2A Colorado basketball tournament games move to Frederick, Longmont high schools due to high winds

The Colorado High School Activities Association announced Thursday that it is moving the Class 2A boys and girls basketball Great 8 games — originally scheduled to be played at Colorado State University’s Moby Arena on Thursday — to Longmont High School and Frederick High School.

The CSU campus closed Thursday afternoon due to high winds and will remain closed for the remainder of the day.

All tickets will be valid at the new game locations and times. Parking will be free at both locations.

The tournament is scheduled to return to CSU’s Moby Arena on Friday.

New game times and locations are listed below:

Longmont High School
4 p.m.: 2A Boys — No. 2 Simla vs. No. 7 Vail Christian
5:30 p.m.: 2A Girls —  No. 1 Merino vs. No. 8 Akron
Frederick High School
5:30 p.m.: 2A Boys —  No. 5 Golden View Classical Academy vs. No. 13 Plateau Valley
7 p.m.: 2A Girls — No. 3 Sanford vs. No. 6 Plateau Valley
8:30 p.m.: 2A Boys — No. 1 Sanford vs. No. 9 Limon
