Last week, debuted its new location in Parker to much fanfare and with even more confections. Thatap because the James Beard-nominated bakery’s new spot, located at 19865 Mainstreet, Suite 130, is about twice as large as its previous space with ample room for baking and guests.
Co-owner Carolyn Nugent said her team is still figuring out where things go and how their work flows, but overall the upgrade has been just that.
“The team executed perfectly, our new equipment is wonderful, we were able to increase production quite a bit, guests were so complimentary,” Nugent said by phone Tuesday. “We couldn’t have asked for a better first week, honestly.”
Poulette’s new digs — complete with a bigger kitchen, larger walk-in cooler and upgraded ovens — will enable the business to increase production of its staples, such as macarons, as well as add new items to the menu. Nugent plans to start by ramping up bread production before focusing on adding more sweet things like chocolate slabs, pastries and celebration cakes to the menu. All in due time, of course.
