1 killed in Denver shooting on South Broadway, police investigating as homicide

Denver police officers are investigating an early morning shooting on the edge of the city’s Baker and Speer neighborhoods as a homicide, officials said Sunday.

One victim was found shot near the intersection of South Broadway and Maple Avenue early Sunday morning, according to a from the Denver Police Department. Paramedics took the victim — identified by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner as 26-year-old Torin Fluker — to the hospital, where Fluker later died, police said.

Police officials the shooting may be related to a road rage incident, but The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
