
A rare film projector that broke down during opening weekend of Christopher Nolan’s epic “The Odyssey” appears to be back in action, with a Denver movie theater once again selling tickets to the IMAX 70mm screening as of Thursday.
Colorado is home to two of only 25 theaters in the country with IMAX 70mm projectors, which directors like Nolan say give audiences the “” — both of which malfunctioned last weekend, to the frustration of Front Range cinephiles.
But the resumed selling tickets to the IMAX 70mm screenings starting Thursday evening, according to the theater’s website and ticketing platform Fandango, and moviegoers posted about seeing the IMAX 70mm film Thursday afternoon on social media.
Regal officials did not respond to a request for comment.
While tickets for Thursday’s screenings are already close to sold out, those lucky enough to nab a seat, whether in Denver or the , can expect to fork over at least $25 for the show.
