Westbound Interstate 70 west of Glenwood Springs Friday morning due to flooding, days after the route had reopened.
The westbound interstate is closed between New Castle and Silt. Traffic is being rerouted through U.S. Highway 6. Eastbound lanes remain open. The Colorado Department of Transportation for when the road would reopen.
The interstate had just reopened Wednesday evening after being closed for several days due to “torrential rain and hail,” causing a mudslide that was 3 feet deep in some areas.
