Denver International Airport shut down part of the terminal Friday night while the bomb squad investigated an unattended bag that was deemed a “possible security threat,” officials said.
Police cleared the bag shortly before 7 p.m. and airport operations are getting back to normal, including the west security checkpoint, departures area and United Airlines check-in counters, DIA officials said in an email.
Airport officials closed level 6 west at around 5:32 p.m. after a police dog alerted to an unattended bag, officials said. The Denver Police Department’s bomb squad responded to evaluate the bag.
