A 40-year-old Lakewood man is facing a first-degree murder charge after his wife was found dead in a Green Mountain home early Thursday morning.
Lakewood Police Department officers and first responders were called to a home in the 1700 block of South Welch Circle at 6 a.m. after someone reported an unresponsive woman inside the home, agency officials said in a news release Friday.
The woman, 37-year-old Lindsey Barnett, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police arrested her husband, Patrick Theodore Barnett, on suspicion of first-degree murder. Agency officials did not release information about how he was identified as a suspect.
Patrick Barnett is set to appear in court Thursday.
