A three-year-old was identified one of the two people killed in Sunday’s plane crash south of Boulder.
Isabella Gingrich, 3, and Aaron Gingrich, 43, were identified as the two who died in the single-engine plane crash near Eldorado Springs, according to the Boulder County Coroner’s Office. Crews who found the plane Monday said there were no survivors.
Crews found the wreckage midday Monday about four miles west of Mountain View Fire Rescue Station 9 after an overnight search throughout a wide swath of southern Boulder County. The plane, a Diamond DA40, took off from Vance Brand Airport earlier Sunday evening, before being reported crashed around 9:42 p.m. that night, according to news releases in the aftermath of the crash.
Responders started using aircraft to find the wreckage once dawn broke, and made it to the scene of the crash around noon Monday.
